What a long, strange year it’s been in enterprise tech news

The year of generative AI and the controversy around Salesforce

pologies to the : Grateful Dead, but in terms of 2023 corporate IT news, what a weird, long year it has been. After a great deal of Salesforce controversy, ChatGPT and generative AI took over and seemed to emerge out of nowhere to take over the news cycle this year.

There were still a ton of other entrepreneurial stories that made the news this year, despite the fact that AI was obviously a major impact on a lot of the news, including my own coverage.

But it might be genuinely revolutionary, altering how we use software, and it might be the largest shift in UX (user experience) design since point-and-click.
